Water Conservation

Do you save water at home?  How can you save water at home?

Explain three different ways that you and your family can save water at home.

Don’t forget to think about the outside as well as the inside.  Consider the rooms in the house that have taps.  How can you save water in these different rooms?  Do you have a garden?  What can you do to save water outside?

Area 3’s Bird Friendly Garden

The students in Area 3 have been working with Henry to create a garden designed to attract native birds to our school. Check out how hard we worked!

We’d love to know what you think of the garden or any suggestions for improving the garden.

My favourite place

My favourite place is in New Zealand at my Grandma’s house. She lives in Napier. When I am there I can see the mountains through her window on one side of the house, and on the other side I can see the ocean. She lives on a big hill.
My Grandma is a fantastic cook so the house always smells delicious from the  food cooking in the oven. I love to hear my Grandma laughing while I am there. I play an old game of checkers at my Grandma’s house everytime I visit her. I always eat hokey pokey ice cream at Rush Monro’s because it is divine and you can’t buy it in Australia.
I love visiting my Grandma because it makes me happy to be with her and to relax at her house.

Tell me about your favourite place as a comment below.

What am I?

I have four legs.

I have hooves

I can store water for a long time.

Humans use me to travel across deserts.

Leave a comment as to ‘What I am’. Write your own so I can guess  as well.
